We’re a week in to the iCS Slim-a-Thon. Sixteen of us are taking part and aiming to loose a combined weight of just under 15 stone. The office has been alive with talk of ‘South Beach diets’ and ‘just going to have my mid-morning carrots’. Several team members have started at the gym and I’ve started running around Ascot racecourse.
The charity that the iCS Slim-a-Thon team are supporting is Christopher’s Smile. In the UK, one child in 600 is diagnosed with childhood cancer. Christopher’s Smile fund the development of drugs to treat childhood cancers without devastating side effects.
I’ll publish the details of our fundraising page over the next day or two and encourage you all to dig deep to help this worthy cause.
Not only are we trying to raise money for charity but we’re also having our own competition with points awarded for weight loss, body fat reduction, achieving personal goals and a bonus award given for the most money raised for Christopher’s Smile. We’ll be keeping you updated with the leader board as we go.
